What is Geopathic Stress?

The word Geopathic comes from two Greek words where “Geo” means “Earth” and “Pathos” means “suffering or Disease“ as well as the cure for the disease. It also indicated the ability to feel, perceive or be sensitive to specific energies. The most accurate definition of geopathic stress is the study of earth energies and their effect on human well-being.  Geopathic Stress is generated due to the Earth’s rotation on its axis. It functions as an Electromagnet, generating electrical currents in the Molten Metal’s found within Earth’s core.

There are various types of earth energies, some are very good for human health, and some are detrimental. In ancient times the Feng Shui masters and Geomancers were familiar with the earth currents; they knew which sites to recommend for building, and which sites to avoid.

This phenomenon generates an electromagnetic field on the surface which oscillates at an average frequency of 7.83 hertz. A physicist by the name of W.O. Schumann identified this frequency in 1952 and is known as brain waves or Schumann waves.

This frequency is in the same range of Alpha waves generated in an human brain. Life has evolved on Earth as a result of this basic energy field. This field is accustomed to cope with the mild fluctuations on the surface of the Earth due to Suns solar activity.

Geopathic Stress

It represents a distortion of this Earth’s natural radiation by weak electromagnetic fields caused by underground water, mineral deposits, geological fault lines, underground caves, quarrying construction, and water vein flowing 200-500 feet below the ground. This causes stress lines that can vibrate between 200-250 hertz and cause Geopathic stress zones.

These zones are known to lower your Immunity. It is therefore advised not to sleep or work on Geopathic stress areas or Geopathic zones. Apart from natural earth’s disruptions, man-made structures such as railways, motorway cuttings, embankments, bridges, quarries, tunnels, mines and underground bankers can cause geopathic stress. Basically, various underground formations, such as subterranean water currents, specific mineral deposits, or different fault lines emit specific electromagnetic fields that can be harmful to a human dwelling.

Sick Building Syndrome (S.B.S)

The World Health Organisation (WHO) estimates that more than 30% of offices, hotels, institutions and industrial premises have S.B.S,due to Geopathic Stress causing: headaches, tension between staff, lethargy, respiratory infection, dry skin and throat, eye symptoms, loss of concentration, depression, stress and fatigue, leading to a high rate of absenteeism, increased staff turnover, and lowered morale. It is a medical condition where people in a building suffer from symptoms of illness or feel unwell for no apparent reason.

SBS is also used interchangeably with “building-related symptoms”, which orients the name of the condition around patients rather than a “sick” building. While electro-, micro-, radio waves and chemical pollution are undoubtedly major factors, S.B.S is generally rooted in the presence of Sha (faulty) streams under the property. Sha Qi can be spread from the path of the streams throughout a building by the steel construction frame, wiring loom and pipe work, just as it is spread along railway tracks or a metal bed frame.

Thus a steel-framed cattle shed with Faulty sha streams running through it will make one feel more unhappier than a brick and wood barn.

Electro Magnetic Radiation (EMR)

EMR is a form of energy emitted and absorbed by charged particles, which exhibits wave like behavior as it travels through space. EMR has both Electric and Magnetic field, as they travel perpendicular to each other. They can travel through air and solid materials and also through the vacuum of space.

In the 1860s and 1870s, a Scottish scientist named James Clerk Maxwell developed a scientific theory to explain electromagnetic waves. He noticed that electrical fields and magnetic fields can couple together to form electromagnetic waves. He summarized this relationship between electricity and magnetism in to what is now referred to as “Maxwells Equations”

Heinrich Hertz, a German physicist, applied Maxwells theories to the production and reception of radio waves. The unit of frequency of a radio-wave—one cycle per second –is named in hertz, in honor of Heinrich Hertz.

EMR is also sometimes called as Electrosmog or Electro stress which is generated by most electrical appliances, electrical cables, transformers, hair dryers, electrical shavers, microwave ovens, mobile phones, cordless telephones. ESmog environment pollution/stress from high tension electromagnetic waves from computers, mobile phones, cellular towers on top of buildings and other electrical and electronic devices like microwave ovens results in stress that brings down productivity.

EMR is emitted by household appliances and overhead power lines. Scientists agree that EMR fields are hazardous to human health. It’s affects can also sometimes be carcinogenic. The bedroom is the most important area to be free of EMR. At night the body repairs its cells. However, if the body is being bombarded by electromagnetic fields this function can be impaired.
